Race For Rotterdam:Italy

Italy are quite a strong nation in gymnastics and did make the Team Final at Birmingham but with a few wobbles.

Vanessa Ferrari has made a comeback after the absence of her in London. Vanessa made Bars and Floor finals at London with a strong team performance aswell.

Also Elizabetta Preziosa put in a great perfromance on Beam in the final placing 6th.

Race For Rotterdam:Canada

Canada is a great nation for gymnastics. With rising stars Peng-Peng Lee and Bianca Dancose Gimabitssio. Brittiany Rogers, Sydney Sawa and Charlotte Mackie are the one's too look for in Rotterdam as they formerly went to London.

thanx

Race for Rotterdam: Ukraine

Ukraine have had a pretty difficuilt time recently as they sent Kozich to Uzbekistan as they blamed her for Beijing and Annastasia Koval having an injury and also Yana being diagnosed with an illness. But on the bright side in Natalia Kononenko and Valentyna Holenkova, Marina Serguchenko and Maryna Kostiuchenko who all have great gymnastics ability and awareness.

Hopefully in Rotterdam they can keep the composure and make finals.

Race For Rotterdam: Bermuda

Bermuda aren't the strongest of gymnastics nations but still produce good gymnastics work. Bermuda's top gymnasts are: Caitlyn Mello and Kaisey Griffith. Both of those gymnasts made it to the 2009 world championships in London but only to the qualifly stages. Throughout the year i haven't seen any performances from them but i'll probably see them at Rotterdam later this year.

Good luck in the future Caitlyn & Kaisey

Russian Nats

The 2010 russian nats were great.

The Return of Anna Pavlova 2010

Russia's Anna Pavlova is returning into the gymnastics world since 2008 when she went to Beijing, China. The gymnast from Moscow found it tricky to come back but at 25 she's back. She competed at 2010 Russian Nationals ad hopefully can make it to Rotterdam.

Race for Rotterdam: Russia

Russia are defineltly on form ahead of Rotterdam. Semenova & Kurbatova are defintly showing their the one's to beat. Also Afanasyeva and Myzdrikova are in good shape. Some juniors are coming up like Tatiana Nabieva, Aliya Mustafina.

gymnasts to look for:

Aliya Mustafina
Ksenia Semenova
Ksenia Afansyeva
Yulia Berger
Anna Myzdrikova
Anna Pavlova

Race for Rotterdam: Romania

Romanian gymnasts are certainly the tradition for gold, but lately have been struggling with senior and junior's. Sandra Izbasa is certainly a senior with a major problem. In September 2009, Sandra tore her achllies tendon at a training camp at Bucaresti. Izbasa is finding it hard to recover. Ana Maria and Gabriela's chances of competing highly are slim as they are struggling with injury(ana maria) and with weight (Gabriela.) But on the bright side, Voicu,Haidu,Porgras,Patrascu and Racea are all rearing to go as they performed great at Bucarest in the Nationals champs. Porgras will defintly be a threat to Yilin,Semenova,Sloan and Bross.

gymnasts to look for:

Raluca Haidu
Caresela Patrascu
Claudia Voicu
Ana Porgras
Amelia Racea

Race For Rotterdam: Denmark

The main contenders for Rotterdam in Denmark are: Mette Hulgaard and Miram Offersgaard. Mette gained experiance from London whilst Miram at Milan. Both of these gymnasts are great and should certainly make it to Rotterdam.

The race for Rotterdam:India

I am now creating a series called 'The race for Rotterdam.' The first country is India. India isn't the richest gymnastics team in the world so hopefully they can get a spot. The gymnast in contetion for Rotterdam are:

-Mennakshi
Priti Das
Gita Das
Dipa Karmakar
Tumpa Depanth

Most of these gymnasts got valuable experience at London(mennakshi,Das,Depanth,Karmakar.)

I'm sure they can waltz into the Qualifications at the Nederlands.

Volochenko,Ninkova,Galiulina,Kozich

Irina Volodchenko,Anna Ninkova,Eliza Galiulina,Alina Kozich all have the same goal 'to do well in Rotterdam.' These gymnasts are Uzbek and are very good. Volodchenko competed in the Cottbus turnier de minster in Germany. Eliza in Beijing. Kozich in London. But Ninkova has not been on schudle. Volodchenko wants it most and Ninkova is not putting in the hours in order for her to compete at Rotterdam. Eliza and Alina are very much seniors especially Kozich competing for Ukraine at Beijing. Eliza is losing time aswell as she narrowly missed the turnier de minster.

Hopefully they can get to Rotterdam at October

Russia's Little Angel: Ksenia Semenova

Russia's 18 year old Ksenia Semenova from Novomosvk is an absolutely brilliant gymnast. She won gold in 2007 at Stuttgart worlds at 15 in her first senior year. Hopefully she can battle on at Birmingham and Rotterdam to recieve gold against Yang Yilin,Beth Tweddle,Rebecca Bross and Ana Porgras. Her coach is Marina Nazarova and she has lived in 3 cities (Moscow,Novomsyvk,Tula.)

Sandra Izbasa: Can she come back?

This post is all about Sandra Raluca Izbasa.

Sandra picked up a torn achilles tendon in September. She has found it very tricky to come back.

She competed in the Romanian Gym Nationals only on Balance Beam.I am not sure what ranking she got.

I hope she can carry on in time for Worlds.

Upcoming Chinese Team and Gymnasts

I am very curious of the new chinese Gymnasts coming up to Juniour level. These gymnasts include Cui Jie and Deng Shaojie.

Cui Jie
Also some other gymnasts are making returns such as He Ning and also Jiang Yuyuan.

Gymnast of the Week

http://gymnastoftheweek.blogspot.com/2010/04/week-1.html

Semenova Plans revengein in Birmingham

Unven Bar champion Ksenia Semenova plans her revenge at Birmingham against Beth Tweddle.Beth won Bars and Floor in Milan and Semenova got bronze in both. Both of these gymnasts are great but i might slighty be on Beth's side as she's from Great Britian and i am too.

There can only be one winner

Elizabeth Tweddle

Beth Tweddle is Great Britian's most succesful gymnast. She's won two world titles. She is training very hard in the Gym for the competitions ahead and has already competed in the English Championships this year.

We wish you the best of luck Beth for Euro's and Rotterdam.

Emilie Le Pennec Oopssy!!!!

French Gymnast Emilie Le Pennec had a little accident during her vault at the 2005 world artistic gymnastics championships at the all-around final.

here is the picture:

lol

2009 world artistic gymnastics championships

London hosted the 2009 world artistic gymnastics championships in the 02 arena.
The arena saw Beth Tweddle win her 2nd world title and Daniel Keatings compete in his all-around.But dissapointment filled the air for Team GB as Louis Smith threw away his Pommel title and Becky Downie fall 3 times in her all-around.The 02 attracted millions of people from Japan,Romania,Russia,Great Britian everywhere that's why it was packed to the rafters in nearlly every day.China dominated with lovely line and the russians who looked so fine.

Jennifer Khwela Succes!!

South African gymnast Jennifer Khwela had a great time at Doha's 'Aspire' dome in Qatar.Jenny got the Vault title and also scooped up the beam bronze. This is espeacially good for the 2010 world championships in October. We wish Jen the best of luck.
